 Material for a Roof or The act of covering with Roof. The process and act of covering something like a building or car with the roof are called roofing.

Definition of roof:

 The roof is defined as the top cover of any building. It protects the materials, human and animals. The roof is also including the supports essential to the roof. It gives the protection against sunlight, wind and weather as rain snow etc. it is a part of the building also. 

Essential Quality: 

The roofing quality used is depending on the purpose of building means that the essential quality of roof changes according to the type of building or why this building is made for. It’s characteristic would differ with warehouse, habitat, hospital, car-parking, park, bridge, PEB, Shed etc.

Roof's Aim

   · Individual’s Shelter: 

       The roof is always included in the primary need of the human body. With all seasons roof is necessary for a single one. It protects humanity from different types of problems as rain, sunshine and wind. Each’ habitat vary with their status, geography and economic condition.

   · Safety Regarding – Commodity & Interior: 

       The top cover of all buildings is usually used to protect the interior portion of the building, goods, floor, carpet and precious commodity. Roofing is also used to provide safety towards the walls also. The wind and rain may ruin the interior and walls so against that roofing are used.

   · Rainwater Solution: 

       The heavy rainwater may damage the structure of building adversely. So with roofing flashings are used to manage the rainwater typically and enhance the strength and also build a gracious look of the structure. Gutter and down take is used to adjust the rainwater smoothly. Purlins are used to strengthen the structure. Instead of the above, numbers of flashings are also used accordingly.

   · Outcomes:  

       The responsibility of a roof is defined as total protection of individuals, commodity, interior and exterior. The success of roofing would be measure on the base of damage after rain, wind, sunlight and snowfall with the time passes. The strength and durability would be defined amount of damage itself with the time.
